170 yards hawthorn hedge, Flitton, Beds. Freestyle.
 
Re-instating a very large, rough and overgrown hawthorn hedge on the edge of a wood which was laid in the only way practical.

35 yards mixed hedge, Ampthill, Beds. Midland Style
 
Tucked away in the Ampthill Conservation area just yards from the highstreet and the nearest hedge I have ever laid to a Waitrose store!

15 yards garden hedge, Steeple Claydon, Bucks. South of England style

This was a typical garden hedge that had become overrun with ivy until a lot of time was spent stripping the ivy out (you can still see the ivy in the adjoining section in the before pictures). The hedge was starting to put out new growth nicely since the ivy had gone, but this was not going ot fill in the gaps at the bottom of the hedge. The stems were also old and quite brittle; again typical of such hedges.

Laying this hedge has given it a completely new lease of life.
